Facing fertility difficulties and miscarriage with author of RoboBabies, Laura Gallagher | S3E57

Struggling through fertility difficulties or experiencing miscarriages or losses will understandably bring about lots of tricky emotions, and so today’s guest, Laura Gallagher – author of the children’s book “RoboBabies”, joins us in this episode to discuss all the emotions that came up for her. Whether that was shame, embarrassment, or sadness – Laura opens up about how each of these emotions affected her and influenced her behaviour in handling the difficulties she went through.
She also talks about how she handled the experience of her son seeing her in a Spanish hospital whilst she was having a miscarriage, and whether you might like to talk to your children about what you’re going through. Her book is a great way to share with your children that not all babies come into the world in the same way, whether they were born following fertility difficulties, NICU or if you’d just like them to be aware that everyone is different!
