From 20 Weeks to 30 Years: How TEDx Speaker and CEO Audrey Williams Joseph Turned Her NICU Experience Into Lifelong Change | S3E60

30 years ago, today’s guest, Audrey Williams Joseph gave birth to her son – at just 20 weeks, and was told to prepare herself for the loss that doctors thought was coming.
The miracle that she had prayed for happened, and her son survived against all the odds. But living in limbo, waiting for her son to pass, took its toll and the impact of that long NICU stay is still felt today.
Her incredible story of resilience and her son’s amazing progress to overcome all the medical predictions he was given are astounding, and now today, Audrey runs six care homes for children and adults with additional needs, providing the support that she once struggled to find.
Now a TEDx speaker and transformation coach, Audrey is an advocate for change in how society views neurodiversity, disability and success. Her message is so important for any NICU parent – you don’t need to qualify to win.
